THE BOOM
Everyday, media in some form or the other bombards us with information on fitness.
• Every TV channel has a segment on fitness. (Every Breakfast show starts out with fitness)
• Every radio station has at least 10 minutes devoted to fitness tips
• Every newspaper has a regular column on fitness, and every magazine publication has a regular article on fitness.
• Every fashionable up market designer house nowadays has to have an area demarcated for a home gym,
• Up market societies, Apartment blocks, Condominiums have to have a clubhouse with a pool & a gym.
• All the old clubs like Bombay gym; Willingdon, WIAA, Boat Club, Poona Club, etc… have health clubs.
• There is not a single 5 star hotel in the world without a state of the art health club; in fact a 5 star rating cannot be given to a hotel without a Health club.
• All big Corporates always have a health club in their office premises for their employees.
• Every big Lifestyle Expo has to have stalls for fitness equipments, Nutritional supplements etc…
• A model, an actor now has to be lean & muscular, just a nice face doesn’t cut it anymore.
When an industry gets as all pervasive as this…the scope is bound to be good. As there is no dearth for placements.
Wherever you go you can’t escape fitness. If you don’t workout & are out of shape, no matter how successful you are in your chosen field, SOCIETY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR YOUR LAPSES IN FITNESS.
Who is to benefit from this scenario???

Leading a fitness lifestyle is going to get more & more important to people as technology makes us more & more sedentary.
